ART HOLIDAYS
Everyone can paint or draw. Even those of you who think you "can’t even draw a stick figure” will be surprised at the inherent talent that’s just waiting to show itself.
Naturally it’s easier with someone who has had some experience in “teasing out” the artistic capabilities of people who would like to try.
Anyone can learn to paint and draw, and I’d like to demonstrate this at La Petite Galerie in sunny Gascony.
We offer a six day live-in course with all meals provided.
Here’s how it works:
BIG GROUPS - SMALL GROUPS - INDIVIDUAL LESSONS – ALL ARE WELCOME
If you come on an art holiday to La Petite Galerie, we cater for artists of all levels and all ages (well, within reason - I've not had anyone in nappies yet!)
And we also cater for non-painting partners - there's always plenty for them to see and do while the budding artists are toiling away in the studio or en plein air in the countryside.
LARGER GROUPS
Groups of up to 13 people stay at the nearby Mill, which is a beautifully restored 13th century building consisting of:
* 6 luxury double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
* There is a beautiful lounge-dining room with antique furniture and a glassed-in millrace running under it.
* The property is built from the one bank of a small river across and onto an island.
* On the island is a beautiful, large, secluded swimming pool set in a secluded park like setting.
* There is a very large fully equipped kitchen.
Families and groups of up to 3 couples stay at La Petite Galerie, a large, restored house with a completely private, walled garden. There are three bedrooms - each with its own bathroom.
FAMILIES AND SMALLER GROUPS
Smaller groups of between 4 to 8 people (we’ve even had couples) usually stay at La Petite Galerie, a fully restored but very old stone house set in a totally private walled garden in the small mediaeval hillside village of Mézin. This is the heart of Gascony in sunny South West France.
The house consists of:
* Three double bedrooms each with its own bathroom.
* A huge salon-dining room with exposed beams and three metre high windows.
* A fully equipped kitchen with two stoves, microwave and dishwasher.
* French doors lead to an open air eating area with BBQ, which makes outdoor meals a delight.
* The property also has off street parking.
OTHER GROUP HOLIDAYS
Although we specialize in ART HOLIDAYS, we have also had people who are interested in cycling, walking, wine tasting, cooking, etc, and we even had a group of Americans who just wanted to ‘shop!’
